Question 1

INCLUSIVE? ME? ALWAYS!

Accepted Answer

Every love, every culture, every faith, every body, every family, every name and every pronoun is welcome here.

If you’re in love and have a story to be told – I am so there and can’t wait to be a part of your world xoxo

Question 2

WHERE ARE YOU BASED? DO YOU TRAVEL?

Accepted Answer

I’m a Geelong wedding videographer, and I’ll travel ANYWHERE to crash your wedding!

No travel fees anywhere in Victoria (Melbourne, Dandenongs, Lakes Entrance, Echuca, you name it) and minimal travel fees everywhere else.

This season I’m heading to Sydney, Queensland, Cairns, the Sunshine Coast and Adelaide.

I LOVE A DESTINATION WEDDING x

Question 3

DO WE REALLY GET ALL OUR RAW FOOTAGE?

Accepted Answer

NOW WHAT ABOUT ALL THE MOMENTS
THAT DIDN’T MAKE THE FINAL CUT?
THEY’RE YOURS TOO!!!

TECHNICALLY, IT’S CALLED “RAW FOOTAGE”
BUT I’VE ALWAYS THOUGHT OF IT AS YOUR FOOTAGE.

YOUR FULL CEREMONY. YOUR SPEECHES.
EVERY IN-BETWEEN MOMENT I CAPTURE ON THE DAY.
IT’S ALL YOURS.

USUALLY AROUND 2-3 HOURS OF FOOTAGE.
IT IS RAW, UNEDITED BUT JUST AS PRECIOUS.
NO PAYING EXTRA TO GET ALL YOUR FOOTAGE.

YOUR MEMORIES BELONG WITH YOU.

Question 4

HOW MANY HOURS ARE YOU AT OUR WEDDING FOR?

Accepted Answer

8–9 hours.
I’ll rock up at the same time as your photographer, we spend the day together + 8–9 hours seems to be the sweet spot where I get to see you bust a move on the d-floor before I go.
But I’m never going to leave before I’ve got all the magic I need to create your perfect Rom-Com.

Question 5

WE’RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA. HELP?!

Accepted Answer

DO NOT FEAR.
I am possibly the most awkward person in front of a camera ever. You cannot beat me for this title.
And honestly, about 95% of my couples tell me they’re awkward in front of the camera.
I’d be more worried if you told me you were REALLY confident.
Portraits are basically just a chance to hang out with your best friend - who you just married!!!
We’ll put some music on. Have a drink. Have a chat. I’ll give you a couple of pointers when you need them + otherwise you two just hang out.
Nothing stiff. Nothing awkward. I got you.

Question 6

DO YOU USE AI IN YOUR EDITING PROCESS?

Accepted Answer

A GREATTTT question to ask videographers these days - and for me NO!
Every second of your film is created by me, for you!
Filmmaking is such an art of love - and I ensure your film is 100% you by being the only person involved in every single step of the process x

Question 7

HOW DO PAYMENTS WORK?

Accepted Answer

A $400 deposit is due within 10 days of booking, then I split the rest into three payments between booking + your wedding day.
But I am SUPER cruisy with moving payment dates around.
I know sometimes every vendor invoice seems to land on the exact same day + I don’t want anyone missing out on birthday presents or Christmas gifts on my account!
If we need to shuffle things around, so fine!

Question 8

DO WE GET TO PICK THE MUSIC?

Accepted Answer

I would never burden you with this job!!!!
Music is probably what I spend the MOST time on when creating your film. It can completely change the emotion + energy of your story and, to me, finding the right music is an art in itself.
Before your wedding, I want your Spotify playlists. What you listen to cooking dinner. What you blast in the car. The concerts you’ve been to. The songs that feel like you.
Then let me do the hunting, this can take days - but the feeling of finding the perfect track is like nothing else.
I can trial up to 40+ different licensed songs for one film before finding the right ones.
And after 120+ weddings, I’ve never had a couple ask me to change a song.
IT’S AN ART, BABY.

Question 9

WE’VE BOOKED YOU TO FILM OUR WEDDING... WHAT’S INCLUDED?

Accepted Answer

THE WHOLE SHEBANG.
I only offer one package because I want you to have all your memories.

8–9 hours coverage
Your 5–7 minute wedding film in cinematic 4K
ALL your raw footage - usually around 2–3 hours
Your full ceremony + speeches
Multi-camera ceremony coverage
Professional audio
3 Insta-ready reels
Pre-wedding catch-ups + all my help along the way
Drone footage where possible
Licensed music

Basically...
YOUR DAY. ON REPLAY. FOREVER.

Question 10

HOW DO YOU WORK WITH OUR PHOTOGRAPHER?

Accepted Answer

I LOVE this part.
There are SO many talented photographers out there + getting to work with my photographer friends and meet new ones is one of my favourite parts of the job.
Your photographer + I basically become one big team.
We chat beforehand, make sure we’re on the same page + then do everything together on the day - so you’re not having to do the same thing twice for two different cameras.
And usually if you’ve booked me, you’re probably drawn to photographers with a pretty similar approach - laid-back, there for a good time + wanting you to actually attend your wedding.
Your guests will probably think we came together!!!

Question 11

CAN WE COME TO YOU FOR HELP BEFORE THE WEDDING?

Accepted Answer

PLEASE DO!!!
My DMs are always open. Text me. Email me. Call me.
I worked in wedding styling, floristry + planning for three years before DTR, so I bloody love this stuff.
Send me your Pinterest board. Spitball ideas with me. Ask me for a vendor rec.
Make me the casting vote when the two of you cannot agree on something!
I LOVE TO BE INVOLVED.

Question 12

WHEN DO WE GET OUR WEDDING FILM?

Accepted Answer

Usually 8–10 weeks after you say I DO.
No waiting six months around here for the premiere night of your very own rom-com.
Every wedding takes me around 9–10 full days to edit. I put a LOT into them + I’m never going to rush your film just to get it out the door.
I DON’T RUSH ART.
But I’m also just as excited to get your memories back to you as you are.

Question 13

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE BOOK YOU?

Accepted Answer

Honestly? It’s ALWAYS worth asking.
I’ve had couples book me two and a half years out + I’ve had couples book me two months out.
Obviously, the sooner you enquire, the better your chances of your date being free...
But you never know your luck.
So if you want me there, hit me up.

Question 14

DO WE GET OUR FULL CEREMONY + SPEECHES?

Accepted Answer

ABSOLUTELY.
They’re included with your raw footage.
You take in as much as you possibly can on your wedding day, but there is SO much happening.
Couples tell me all the time that watching their ceremony back almost feels like an out-of-body experience - there are whole moments they completely forgot happened.
So yep. Sit yourselves on the couch + watch the whole thing back.
Every vow. Every speech. Every laugh. It’s yours.

Question 15

DO YOU USE A DRONE AT WEDDINGS?

Accepted Answer

ABSOLUTELY - WHEN I CAN!
If we’re out on a property + the weather and location are playing nice, I bloody love chucking the drone up.
If we’re smack bang in the middle of the city...
I’d rather not go to jail.
So the drone is always location, weather + aviation-rules dependent.

Question 16

DO YOU CAPTURE AUDIO FROM THE DAY?

Accepted Answer

SO. MUCH. AUDIO.
Audio is HUGE for the films I make.
Your vows. Your speeches. Your shaky voices. Your people absolutely losing it laughing. All those little sounds + words that help tell your story.
I don't want to make a pretty montage with a song slapped underneath it.
Your actual wedding becomes part of the soundtrack.
My goal is that I could close my eyes, listen to your film + still be moved by it.
That’s how important the audio is to me.

Question 17

DO YOU FILM ELOPEMENTS + INTIMATE WEDDINGS?

Accepted Answer

ABSOLUTELY! I’m a Geelong elopement videographer and I LOVE celebrating love of all sizes.

If you’re eloping in the Geelong region, I highly recommend Big Love Elopements. I film their elopements, and you can also hire me directly for yours.

Elopements anywhere in Victoria (or beyond!) are welcome xoxo
